Chery Tiggo guns for the early solo lead when it clashes with Cignal HD on Monday, July 19, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the PVC Socio-Civic & Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

Match is at 6 p.m. with the Crossovers seeking a follow-up of their 25-20, 25-17, 25-6 drubbing of the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters in Saturday’s opener.

Sisters Jaja and Dindin Santiago are expected to fuel Chery Tiggo once again after conspiring for 23 points while defensive help will also come from Joy Dacoron, who made her presence felt against PLDT by dropping 13 points including six blocks.

But Cignal is not to be taken lightly as it boasts of veteran spiker Rachel Anne Daquis at the forefront of its attack.

Apart from Daquis, the HD Spikers have a wide arsenal in Ranya Musa, Fiola Ceballos, libero Jheck Dionela, Ayel Estranero, Roselyn Doria and Janine Marciano.

Meanwhile, PLDT aims to regain lost bearing when it tangles with Sta. Lucia in the 3 p.m. curtain raiser.

The Power Hitters are expected to work on their lack of defense the last time, where they failed to convert a single block out of 33 attempts.

Isa Molde and CJ Soyud will continue to carry the fight for the Power Hitters along with veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan.

Like PLDT, Sta. Lucia also aims to bounce back from a 25-18, 25-20, 25-27, 25-18 defeat against Creamline last Saturday.

MJ Phillips is slated to step up anew for the Lady Realtors after exploding for 20 points against the Cool Smashers, while reinforcements will come from Aiza Pontillas, Dell Palomata, Bang Pineda and Rubie De Leon.
