In a Facebook post on Monday (July 19), Remulla said two of the patients are fully vaccinated and are experiencing mild symptoms. However, one of them has infected his whole family.

The two other patients who have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine are dealing with moderate symptoms.

"Dahil dito, ako ay mapipilitang maghanap ng alternatibong opisina habang hinihintay ang safety quarantine ng mahigit sa 75 percent na empleyado sa Kapitolyo. (Because of this, I have no choice but to look for an alternative office while waiting for the safety quarantine of more than 75 percent of capitol employees)," Remulla wrote, adding the hashtag #NasaanAngBAKUNA (where is the vaccine).

The governor expressed hope that the province will get more vaccine supply from the national government as the second vaccine dose for 100,000 residents is already delayed. The provincial government's order for 1.5 million doses of Novavax is expected to arrive by the third week of August.

Remulla reminded the public to continue observing health safety protocols after the Department of Health has recorded local transmissions of the more contagious Delta variant.
