Four more teams open bid in PVL Open Conference

Four more teams make their way in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Sunday, July 18 at the PVC Socio-Civic & Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

The Petro Gazz Angels and the Black Mamba Army Troopers collide at 3 p.m. followed by the BaliPure Water Defenders against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans at 6 p.m.

Outside hitter Myla Pablo, Grethcel Soltones and Ces Molina are expected to carry the offensive load for the Angels while getting reinforcements from Ivy Perez, Jessey De Leon, Jerrili Malabanan, Ria Meneses and libero Kath Arado.

The Angels boast of a runner-up finish at the 2019 PVL Open Conference when the league was not yet professional.

The Army Troopers, for their part, will parade a veteran crew composed of Royse Tubino, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Ging Balse-Pabayo, Nene Bautista and Joanne Bunag.

Equally exciting is the Choco Mucho-BaliPure matchup, with the Flying Titans boasting of former Ateneo Lady Eagles standouts Deanna Wong, Maddie Madayag, Ponggay Gaston, Bea De Leon, Kim Gequillana and Kat Tolentino.

The Water Defenders, meanwhile, have Alina Bicar, Judith Abil, Grazielle Bombita and Roselle Baliton.

Monday’s matches pit the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters against the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors at 3 p.m., followed by the Cignal HD Spikers versus the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
