The two were caught when the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation at 3 a.m. on July 15 along Sampaguita Street in Brgy. Western Bicutan.

According to the report, the police confiscated from the suspects a total of 44 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing about 20 grams and estimated to be worth P136,000.

The drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) crime laboratory for chemical analysis.

The police are preparing to file charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, against the suspects.

SPD Director Police Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg commended the Taguig police for another buy-bust operation.

“I congratulate the Taguig City Police and Station Drug Enforcement Unit for another successful operation against illegal drugs. I am glad that policemen in the Southern Police District continue to do their work to provide citizens with a quiet and peaceful southern part of Metro Manila,” said Macaraeg.
