More than 4 million Filipinos have completed their two-dose vaccine regimen against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Malacañang announced Thursday, July 15.
Presidential spokesman Harry Roque announced the latest milestone in the government's vaccination drive as the country is expected to receive more vaccine supplies in the coming days.
"Mayroon na tayong labing-apat na milyon or 14,074,514 total doses na na-administer. Nasa 257,156 ang daily jab na na-administer kahapon (We have 14,074,514 total doses administered so far. Around 257,156 daily jabs were administered Wednesday)," Roque said during a televised press briefing Thursday.
"Mahigit na apat na milyon or 4,047,792 ang nabigyan ng two doses (More than 4 million or 4,047,792 have been given two doses). Patuloy po ang ating bakunahan (Our vaccination will continue)," he added.
On vaccine delivery, Roque said 1,150,800 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines procured by the local government units and private sector are expected to arrive in the country Friday, July 16.
Another 1,606,600 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccines, donated by the United States government through the COVAX facility, will also delivered on the same day.
On Saturday, July 17, Roque said additional 1.5 million doses of Sinovac jabs bought by the government will be delivered to the country. The remaining doses from the 3.2 million donation from the US government are also expected to be delivered on Saturday.
So far, the country has a total vaccine supply of 22 million doses coming from foreign supplies. The recent deliveries included 250,800 doses of Moderna vaccines and 1 million Sinovac doses procured by the national government.
Of the vaccine supply, more than 9 million jabs were donated to the Philippines.
