Pasay mayor signs executive order allowing kids in outdoor areas


Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has signed an executive order allowing children five years old and above in outdoor areas.

Rubiano said a child is allowed outdoors provided that she or he is being supervised by a vaccinated adult who must observe the basic health protocols.

The mayor said the movement of the children shall be limited only to playgrounds, beaches, biking and hiking trails, outdoor tourist sites and attractions as may be defined by the Department of Tourism, outdoor non-contact sports courts and venues.

Rubiano said outdoor areas shall not include mixed-use indoor/outdoor buildings and facilities such as malls and other similar establishments.

She said fully vaccinated senior citizens are also allowed to go out subject to presentation of duly issued COVID-19 vaccination cards.
