Cavite residents named after the town 'Amadeo' to get cash incentive

AMADEO, Cavite - Bonafide residents who were named after the town "Amadeo" will automatically got cash incentives from the local government unit (LGU) as part of the municipality's 149th founding anniversary celebration.

On Tuesday (June 13), four residents who were namesakes of the town were awarded certificates of recognition and cash incentives by Mayor Redel John B. Dionisio.

The annual recognition, which started in 2020, aims to boost morale and make awardees proud to be named after the town.

Amadeo Municipal Tourism Officer-In-Charge told the Manila Bulletin that the LGU checked records from the Local Civil Registrar to find the town's official namesake residents.

Aside from the namesake recognition, the municipality also held contests to celebrate its founding anniversary, including spoken word poetry, essay-writing, and poster-making competitions.
