Veteran support Allen "Greed" Baloy has returned to Onic PH as the powerhouse team is set to banner a rejigged roster for the much-awaited MPL Philippines Season 8.

Greed was part of the Dream High Gaming team that qualified for MPL-PH Season 4 and later acquired by Onic which immediately made waves in the professional scene, finishing runner-up to Sunsparks.

The Indonesian esports organization-backed squad, however, parted ways with Greed who moved to Sunsparks and played a pivotal role in taking down his former team in the thrilling Season 5 grand finals.

With his signature Natalia, Greed came up with a sneaky segway to destroy Onic's Base in Game 4 and hand Sunsparks a historic second straight championship.

The 22-year-old player remained with Sunsparks which rebranded to Aura PH but they failed to extend their reign in the next two seasons.

Besides Greed, Onic also signed former Laus Playbook Esports standouts Ian "Beemo" Sergio and Nowee "Ryota" Macasa as well as rookie Mico “miicoo” Quitlong.

Staying with the team in white and gold are founding member Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera, Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales and Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol.

Onic also tapped ex-Cignal player and mentor Denver “Yebmaester” Miranda as its new head coach.

Earlier, the team announced the release of gold laner Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog and coach Kyle "Ryo" Berceño.

With its revamped lineup, Onic is seeking to redeem itself from a lowly 7th-8th place finish in Season 7 and rise once again as one of the heavy title contenders in Moonton's professional league for its popular mobile MOBA game.
