Onic PH has parted ways with gold laner Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog and coach Kyle "Ryo" Berceño on Sunday, June 11.

The announcement was made hours before the team unveils its revamped roster for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 8.

"As they say, all good things will come to an end. We would like to thank Iy4knu and coach Ryo for being part of the Onic Fam. May you take a bit of Onic Magic wherever you go," the team said in a Facebook post.

"We will never forget your iconic contributions to our MPL title challenges."

Iy4knu was one of the original members of Onic that immediately came through with a runner-up achievement in its MPL debut back in Season 4 and another silver finish in Season 5, both behind fierce rival Sunsparks.

However, Iy4knu and Onic struggled in the following seasons as they wound up fourth in Season 6 and suffered their worst placing in Season 7 when they plunged to 7th-8th place.

The squad in white and gold lost in a five-game thriller against eventual runner-up and MSC 2021 champion Execration right in the first round of the playoffs lower bracket.

For his part, Ryo--a player of the Season 3 champion ArkAngel--came into the Indonesian esports organization-backed team in Season 5.

Onic is set to reveal new additions for the next MPL season later on.
