The Diocese of San Carlos Social Communications Office announced the news in their Facebook page Friday, July 9.

In an advisory, the diocese said, Alminaza was discharged from San Carlos Doctor's Hospital last June 25 after a 6-day confinement and completed the 21-day quarantine.

"However, he is advised to be conscientiously guarded in receiving engagements as he resumes his important ministry for the Church due to his pre-existing medical condition," it read.

The diocese said in thanksgiving for all the prayers, expressions of care and support, Alminaza will preside the 9 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at San Carlos Borromeo Cathedral Parish.

"The faithful is enjoined to continue observing the established health and safety protocols of the Department of Health and the Inter Agency Task Force," it said.

It was on June 20 when Alminaza found out that he tested positive for COVID-19.
