Wanted sex offender from France falls in hands of BI agents

Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents have arrested a French national who is wanted in his country for the sexual abuse of minors.

Operatives from the BI’s fugitive search unit identified the wanted sex offender as Pascal Didier Gillot, 53. He was nabbed along A. Masangkay Street in San Roque, Antipolo City.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente ordered the arrest of Gillot for being a risk to public safety and security.

“We recently received information from French authorities that Gillot is wanted in France, and is the subject of a warrant of arrest for raping children,” said Morente.

Gillot is also the subject of interpol red notices for sexual abuse of a child under 15 years old and for repeated attempts to remove a child from the care of her legal guardian, both in violation of the French Penal Code.

Gillot’s immigration records showed he is already an overstaying alien.

He is detained at the BI warden racility in Bicutan, Taguig City, pending deportation proceedings.
