39% of Muntinlupa’s target population now vaccinated with first dose


The Muntinlupa City government has completed the first-dose vaccination of 39 percent of its target population.

Based on data as of July 3, a total of 151,664 individuals have received their first dose of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19 vaccine, equivalent to 39.3 percent of the total target population of 385,725, representing 70 percent of the estimated 551,036 total population of Muntinlupa.

Of the 151,664 individuals who got their first dose, 10,906 or 7 percent are A1 priority group (health workers), 19,180 or 13 percent are A2 (senior citizens), 64,659 or 43 percent are A3 (persons with comorbidities), 48,775 or 32 percent are A4 (essential workers), and 8,144 or 5 percent are A5 (indigent population).

By vaccine, 102,959 individuals or 68 percent received Sinovac Life Sciences’ CoronaVac; 24,564 or 16 percent got Pfizer-BioNTech; 19,062 or 13 percent received AstraZeneca; 2,979 or 2 percent gotSputnik V, and 2,100 or 1 percent got Moderna.

In addition, 41,320 individuals are now fully vaccinated in Muntinlupa after getting their second dose, or 11 percent of the total target population. The total consists of 3,591 A1, 8,840 A2, 27,965 A3, 498 A4, and 426 vaccinated at a hospital.

Of the second-dose recipients, 33,069 individuals or 80 percent were administered with CoronaVac, 1,816 with AstraZeneca, 2,934 with Sputnik V, and 3,501 with Pfizer-BioNTech.

As of July 2, a total of 263,952 individuals have already registered with the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac), or 68.4 percent of the target population.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi urged residents to register with MunCoVac and get vaccinated for their protection.

Due to limited supply of the vaccine, MunCoVac announced that starting Monday (July 5), no walk-ins will be accommodated at Muntinlupa’s vaccination sites.

Besides the on-site vaccination, Muntinlupa also has home vaccination, and drive-thru vaccination service for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
