More drug suspects fall in entrapment operations in Taguig


Four people were arrested by the Taguig police in three separate buy-bust operations in the city Saturday.

The entrapment operations yielded a total 38 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) estimated to be worth P258,400.

In Brgy. Hagonoy, the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of suspect Jeremie Cruz, 38, a resident of the city.

Seized from the suspect were five pieces of plastic sachets containing 3.9 grams of shabu worth P26,520, two pieces of P100 bills used as buy-bust money and a wallet.

Brgy. Central Signal, the Taguig police conducted another buy-bust operation and seized shabu, according to Southern Police District (SPD) Director Police Big. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg.

Arrested suspect Michael John Miana, 41, a resident of Brgy. Central Signal, yielded seven pieces of plastic sachets containing 19.1 grams of shabu worth P129,880, one digital weighing scale and two pieces of P100 bills used a buy-bust money.

Miana will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the Office of the City Prosecutor.

The Taguig police also arrested two drug suspects at PNR Site in Brgy. Western Bicutan during a buy-bust operation.

Macaraeg identified the suspects as Alicia Mano, 48, and Jery Tagigaya, 32, both residents of the barangay.

Confiscated from the suspects were four plastic sachets containing 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000. They will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165.

Macaraeg lauded the Taguig police, saying, “I am very glad for another successful operation against illegal drugs. This proves that we continue to campaign against illegal drugs amid the pandemic.”
