Manila breaks own single-day vaccination record with 42,645 jabs


The city government of Manila broke its own single-day vaccination record with 42,645 vaccines administered on Saturday, July 3.

The city government, through the Manila Health Department (MHD), administered a total of 42,645 COVID-19 vaccine doses on July 3 which is 7,703 more than its June 22 record.

Of the total number of vaccines deployed on July 3, 42,596 were for the first dose, while 49 were for the second dose.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Sunday, July 4 thanked Manileños, healthcare workers, barangay workers, and staff of the MHD for their continued support for the city’s #VaccineNation campaign.

As of 8 p.m on Saturday (July 3), a total of 686,334 COVID-19 vaccines have been deployed in the city since the start of its inoculation program.
