ABS-CBN Corporation’s Star Cinema has partnered with the country’s biggest live streaming and social entertainment platform, kumu, to provide more entertainment content online.
In a statement, ABS-CBN said the partnership between Star Cinema and kumu will soon bear fruit and produce a movie that will soon be in production. This will be a romantic-comedy movie.
“The one-of-a-kind partnership between a film production company, Star Cinema and streaming and social entertainment platform kumu, hopes to bring the audience a different kind of entertainment viewing,” the firm said.
It explained that, “Film production has been put on hold for the first few months of our lockdown but ABS-CBN Films found creative ways to keep telling stories. And as we move to a better normal they continue to tell our story.” kumu is a powerful social media platform that brings the voices of Filipinos from all over the globe at the forefront.
Aside from presenting users real-time earning opportunities as a live streamer, chances to win cash in various game shows, and engagement in campaigns, kumu also fosters communities that ignite relevant discussions among Filipinos.
Star Cinema is the country’s largest film production and distribution company that produced and released most of the highest-grossing Philippine films of all time.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN said more Filipino viewers nationwide will get to enjoy the numerous blockbuster films on Cinema One and the music content of MYX as the two ABS-CBN pay TV channels air on Cignal beginning Thursday (July 1).
The home of Filipino blockbuster movies Cinema One, now on Cignal Ch. 45, is bringing tons of fresh and classic films through its 24/7 programming, including edgy content from the long-running Cinema One Originals festival.
The country’s leading music channel, MYX is also now available through Cignal Ch. 150, bringing in the latest music videos and news about today’s hottest OPM and international artists.
Cinema One and MYX will be free for active Cignal Postpaid, Prepaid Ultimate HD, and Premium SD subscribers only from July 1-31, 2021. Both pay TV channels are under the ABS-CBN subsidiary, Creative Programs, Inc.
