Here is how fully-vaccinated seniors in Makati City can get their P1,000 GC

Fully vaccinated senior citizens can now claim their P1,000 gift certificates (GCs) from the Makati City local government in two malls -- Ayala Malls Circuit and Glorietta 2.

According to the city government, fully vaccinated senior citizens must bring their vaccination cards and their white card or Blu card.

After presenting their cards proving that they are fully vaccinated and are residents of Makati, personnel of the city hall will then give them their P1,000 GC.

Should a senior citizen cannot claim his/her GC, he/she may send a representative bringing his/her original identification card, its photocopy, and authorization letter.

Makati City has started distributing the gift certificates on Thursday (July 1).

On Tuesday (June 30), Mayor Abigail "Abby" Binay announced in a Twitter post that the city government will distribute P1,000 gift certificates to fully vaccinated senior citizens in the city.

This aims to entice senior citizens in the city to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Makati City has a total of 10 vaccination sites in order to quickly roll out COVID-19 vaccines.

During a radio interview on June 29, Binay said that Makati City has so far vaccinated 36,000 senior citizens.

The mayor said they are targeting to inoculate 50,000 senior citizens in the city.
