Bretman Rock proud of his ‘self-made’ success, credits Filipino culture for work ethics


Internet sensation Bretman Rock couldn't help but feel prouder for all the achievements he got the past years.

"I present to you the 3 other coves I did for @nylonmanila (glittering flashes of sparkles and Philippine flag emojis) I hope you guys can feel how magical this moment is for Me… MOM I’m a f*cking Cover Girl," he declared.

Then he added: "What am I most proud of? .. My Damn Self."

"My family and I did this all on our own. I’m proud of my work ethics and the humility and compassion that I have for others that my Filipino culture (taught) me and on the same breath I am so proud of the confidence and Aloha that Hawaii nurtured me with…," he pointed out.

"I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF YALL I WORKED SO HARD."

Recall that the international social media darling was recently featured on the cover of Nylon Manila’s digital magazine issue last month.

In a series of Instagram stories, the influencer noted how “important” and “iconic” his stint with the magazine was, relating his photos are his “love letter” to “all gay, queer Filipino kids out there.”

Some months ago, Bretman named the new Breakthrough Social Star at MTV Awards.

During his speech, Bretman dedicated his recognition to all the Asian-Americans who believe in him, as well as the Pacific Islanders and the LGBTQ community.

Recall that early this year when he got his reality show titled “MTV Following: Bretman Rock.”

Recently, he's back with another reality show called "30 Days: Bretman Rock" to be uploaded on his YouTube Channel, where he has 8.65 million subscribers.

Bretman is among the most followed Filipino stars, with 16.9 million Instagram followers and 4.3 million on Facebook.
