Execration wasted away a one-game win as it surrendered a 2-1 decision to Indonesia's Boom Esports in The International 10 (TI10) Southeast Asia Qualifier upper bracket first round on Wednesday night, June 30.

Yuri Dave "Yowe" Pacaña's Puck struggled against Boom's multiple stuns and silence while Jinn "Palos" Lamatao's overfarmed Phantom Lancer lacked damage in the late game as Boom ran away winners in the grueling 61-minute Game 3.

A huge team fight in the 51st minute went in favor of Boom thanks to Rafli "Mikoto" Rahman's brilliant plays with Windranger and Randy "Dreamocel" Sapoetra's massive damage with Riki before they secured a free Roshan and two sets of barracks resulting in a 21K gold swing.

Nikko "Nikko" Bilocura's Underlord was able to drag the game through his Dark Rift saves but it just prolonged the agony for the Filipino squad as the Indonesians just waited for the Tier 5 neutral items to close out the series.

Execration failed to capitalize on its impressive 27-15 victory in 50 minutes in Game 1 behind Palos' beefy Juggernaut.

Boom brought the series to a decider with a swift 18-9 Game 2 win in 27 minutes on the back of Mikoto's Templar Assassin and Saieful "Fbz" Ilham's Tidehunter.

With the series comeback, Boom advanced to the upper bracket semifinals against Filipino powerhouse TNC Predator on Thursday night. TNC earlier took down Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng and Team SMG, 2-1.

For its part, the WePlay AniMajor wild card participant Execration slipped to the lower bracket where it will face 496 Gaming of Vietnam on Thursday.
