The country’s Olympic bid in judo as well as the 2021 FIDE World Cup will be tackled in Tuesday’s online session of the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum.
Philippine Judo President Dave Carter will discuss the preparations and campaign of first time Olympian Kiyomi Watanabe in the Tokyo Games during the session that starts at 10:00 a.m. Watanabe, 24, clinched an Olympic berth via continental quota in the women’s 63 kg division.
Meanwhile, Grandmaster Jayson Gonzales is going to talk about the Filipino woodpushers’ chances in the FIDE World Cup slated in Sochi, Russia starting on July 3. Gonzales is also NCFP (National Chess Federation of the Philippines) chief executive officer.
