The city government had earlier inked an agreement with FoodPanda Philippines to provide job opportunities to residents in the city.

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso and Vice-Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan led the distribution of the donations.

"Kaya itong mga kasamahan natin, mga kababayan nating bekshi ng Maynila, I'm happy and I hope they will earn a decent living, thanks to the private sector," Domagoso said.

Domagoso also thanked Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III, Undersecretary Benjo Santos Benavidez, NCR-RD Atty. Sarah Buena Mirasol, Dir. Warren Miclat and MFO Dir. Ma. Corazon Pepito for their generous donations to the city.

The beneficiaries will also be part of the "PandaBIZikleta" which was launched on June 9 that provided free bicycles to freelance delivery riders in the city.
