Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, accompanied by Office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) head Zeny Celestino and Councilor Ryan Bagatsing visited Lola Guillerma Reyes of San Jose Village, Alabang Friday and gave her a check amounting to P100,000.

The financial benefit is a program of the Muntinlupa City government given to residents who turn 100 and above.

In 2018, the Muntinlupa City Council passed Ordinance 18-147, signed by Fresnedi, which grants “financial benefits/privileges to centenarians who have reached 100 years old and above in the City of Muntinlupa amounting to P100,000 each.”

Reyes is the 23rd centenarian in Muntinlupa to receive financial incentive from the city government since 2015, the year the program started under a different ordinance.

Last month, centenarian Angelina Giron of Brgy. Ayala Alabang received the same amount from Mayor Fresnedi and Celestino.

The Muntinlupa City government awarded P100,000 to Lola Lydia Morales of Brgy. Ayala Alabang last November when she turned 100.

In September last year, centenarian Edilberta Cosio of Brgy. Putatan received the same financial benefit from the city.
