100 families receive food packs from Pasig Police


Around 100 families in Barangay Malinao, Pasig received food packs from the Pasig City Police Station on Thursday (June 24)

Members of the Pasig City Police distributed the food packs and cooked meals to residents of Barangay Malinoa around 7 a.m.

The Pasig City Police said most of the beneficiaries were women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities or PWDs, and children.

The police also conducted a feeding program for children and distributed porridge and bread.

The activity aims to strengthen the spirit of "bayanihan" or solidarity among Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the Pasig City Police said the feeding program and distribution of grocery packs were conducted in cooperation with the barangay and non-government organizations.

Before the distribution of food packs, the Pasig Police conducted a clean-up drive in Barangay Malinao.
