The outgoing Capiz prelate was welcomed in the Residencia del Arzobispo in Intramuros by Archdiocese of Manila Apostolic Administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo, together with the Board of Consultors of the Archdiocese of Manila.

The Manila Cathedral posted pictures of Advincula's arrival in their Facebook page.

The Cathedral also posted a picture of the vestments that the Archbishop-elect will use during his installation on June 24.

"The vestments to be used by Cardinal Jose Advincula is exquisitely handcrafted by the Talleres de Nazaret, an Apostolic Center of the Siervas de San Jose," read their post.

Days before, the Cathedral also posted the picture of the cathedra or the Archbishop's chair which has the coat of arms of Advincula.

"The cathedra or the Archbishop’s 'chair' is a sign of his teaching office and pastoral authority in the local church. The present cathedra, installed during the postwar reconstruction in 1958, is made of the choicest Italian marbles and was designed and crafted in Rome through the Istituto Internazionale d’Arte Liturgica. Recently, the original Mexican onyx was revealed and restored," it said.

The Manila Cathedral showed a marker containing the name of Advincula and the past archbishops of Manila.

Cardinal Advincula will be formally installed at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros.
