P258.4 million worth of shabu seized from two Manila condo units


Joint teams from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) seized P258.4 million worth of shabu and arrested a drug pusher on Monday, June 21, in separate drug searches in two condominium units in Malate, Manila.

PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon identified the suspect as Zhizun Chen, an auto supply personnel residing at 168 Tower 2 Soler Street, Binondo, Manila.

Using a search warrant, the anti-narcotics operatives confiscated more or less 23 kilos of suspected shabu worth P156.4 million and one Toyota Grandia with license plate NDA 5174 at around 1 p.m. inside slot 64 third floor of the Royal Plaza Twin Towers.

Another search warrant in a nearby unit resulted in the seizure of more or less 15 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P102 million, various drug paraphernalia, small brick of suspected hashish, more or less 10 kilos of suspected dangerous drugs and three units of android cellular phones at Unit 1605 Royal Plaza Twin Tower.

The suspect is now facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
