"The NCCA calls on Filipino citizens, age 18 and above, to submit original creative outputs inspired by the theme 'We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper'," the Commission said in its announcement.

The ASEAN Philippines Digital Art Contest 2021 aims to showcase the best expressions in digital art by Philippine amateur and professional artists while highlighting the cultural uniqueness and identity being shared by the whole ASEAN community.

According to the NCCA, the categories in relation to the context of the digital art output relevant to the whole ASEAN region include ASEAN community concerns; health care concerns, safety, and resilience; art concerns; and personal concerns.

Due to restrictions brought by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the NCCA said that the process of the contest will be done online, from submission of entries to the selection and announcement of winners.

"All entries must be created with digital technology and presented in various formats of stand-alone digital art image such as, but not limited to: graphic poster, web comic, fractal/algorithmic art, data-moshing, dynamic painting, 2D and 3D computer graphics, pixel art, digital photography, photo-painting, manual vector drawing, integrated art/mixed media and hybrid painting, raster painting and computer-generated painting," it explained.

Interested applicants may check out further details about the contest here. Meanwhile, submission of entries is now ongoing and will close at 11:59 p.m. on August 3.
