Wanted lady swindler arrested in Baguio City


A lady swindler tagged as the 10th most wanted in the region was arrested in Baguio City.

The suspect was identified as Shallemires Aventura Castillo, 43, who also goes by the names “Kelly Casa Abnes,” “Irish Aventura Costales,” and “Luz Galvez,” with known addresses in Ledesma St., Modern Site West, Baguio City and Pines Park, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Castillo is said to be a member of the Crispin Cabotutan Carnapping Group and is involved in schemes related to sale and purchase of motor vehicles through a modus known as “Rent/Sangla/Bawi/Tangay”.

Castillo was nabbed by a joint team under the supervision of Regional Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Kimberly Molitas, the Cordillera Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU-COR) together with operatives from the RHPU-1 and the Baguio City Police Office.

Castillo’s capture came with a warrant of arrest for estafa dated February 24, 2021 from the Municipal Trial Court of the First Judicial Region in Sto. Tomas, La Union.

“This goes towards further securing the peace of these areas and attaining justice for the people harmed by the suspect and her cohorts. Rest assured, the HPG shall continue scouring the nation and making our presence felt everywhere,” said Highway Patrol Group Director PBGen Alexander Tagum.
