Mayor Emi, husband get 2nd dose of AstraZeneca

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and her husband, Edgardo “Egay” Rubiano received their second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Tuesday, June 15, at the city’s Giga vaccination site at SM Mall of Asia.

Rubiano, who is now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), received her first dose of the vaccine on April 5 at T. Paez Elementary School

Dr. Lilibeth Ortega of the City Health Office administered the shots on Rubiano and her husband.

Rubiano, after getting her second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, expressed hope that more residents will register for the city’s “Vacc to the Future” vaccination program.

She also asked city residents to register or visit any vaccination sites in the city and receive vaccines of any brand for their own protection against the virus.

The mayor thanked President Duterte when she received her first dose of the vaccine in April. She said the President saw the need for local chief executives to be inoculated against the virus.

Rubiano said the move has also encouraged their constituents to get vaccinated.
