3 drug pushers fall, P135M worth of shabu seized in Parañaque, Las Piñas buy busts


Joint teams of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested on Tuesday, June 15 three drug pushers and confiscated P135.4 million worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Parañaque City and Las Piñas City.

PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon identified the suspect in the Las Piñas City raid as Moises Joshua Esguerra, 29, who was nabbed along BF Resort, Barangay Talon Dos at 3 p.m.

The operating units confiscated were more or less 18 kg of suspected shabu valued at P121.8 million, a mobile phone and one bundle of boodle money with one genuine P1,000 bill from Esguerra.

In the Parañque City operation, the PDEA and PNP group collared January Berroya and Rolando Sanchez and seized P13.6 million worth of shabu after being busted in an open parking lot along C.P. Garcia at around 1:30 p.m. of the same day.

Aside from the illegal drugs, the operatives also confiscated mobile phones, buy-bust money and two drivers’ licenses.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
