‘Bote Mo Pagkain Kapalit’ in Baras, Rizal


A youth group in a village in Baras, Rizal will be giving a kilo of rice and packs of instant noodles in exchange for empty soft drink bottles on June 15, Tuesday.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Ng Barangay Pinugay in Baras is offering a kilo of rice and a pack of instant noodles to residents who will turn over empty and cleaned soft drink bottles.

For every 25 pieces of small empty bottles of soft drinks that you bring in and surrender, a kilo of rice, a pack of noodles can be taken home.

For every 20 pieces of empty 1.5 liter soft drink bottles surrendered, one can bring home a kilo of rice, a pack of instant noodles, and a piece of instant coffee.

The one-day activity, dubbed as “Bote Mo Pagkain Kapalit,” is a pro-environment program of the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay Pinugay. It will be held at Sitio Cinco Barangay Hall on June 15, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Those who would like to participate are encouraged to collect more bottles as similar activities may soon be held again. (Nel Andrade)
