Star mid laner Abed "Abed" Yusop and Evil Geniuses ended up as runner-up to PSG.LGD while captain-offlaner Carlo "Kuku" Palad and T1 settled for the third place in the WePlay AniMajor held in Kiev, Ukraine.

Abed's EG outlasted Kuku's T1 in the thrilling lower bracket finals on Sunday night, June 13, to take its fiery lower bracket run all the way to the grand finals.

The 20-year-old Abed playing Puck came through with 20 kills and 13 assists against three deaths to fuel the North American giants' Game 1 win.

But the Southeast Asian kings forced a winner-take-all with a gutsy 64-minute victory against a double Divine Rapier-wielding Terrorblade of Artour "Arteezy" Babaev.

Arteezy's TB though would not be denied in the deciding Game 3 as he finished with 11 kills and 14 assists against a lone death to help EG close out the series with a lopsided triumph in 36 minutes and arrange a grand finals match against PSG.LGD.

However, EG bowed down via a 3-0 sweep to Chinese powerhouse LGD which bagged the champion's prize of $200,000 (nearly P10 million).

T1 took home $75,000 (P3.5 million) but more importantly Kuku and his crew earned their spot in The International 10 after sweeping China Upper Division winner Team Aster in the AniMajor playoffs opener.

EG earned $100,000 (P4.7 million) and topped the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) rankings heading to TI10.

As the AniMajor concluded, all teams now shift their focus on this year's $40 million TI set on August 5-15 at the Avicii in Stockholm, Sweden.
