The national government is hoping that a vaccination rollout that is expected to speed up in the coming weeks will result in the further reopening of the economy, and the hiring of more workers. The Department of Health (DOH) is also leaning heavily on mass inoculation to ensure a safe reopening of schools.

On the weather front, Metro Manila is in for more rain showers and thunderstorms due to the “habagat” or the southwest monsoon.
