Drug group leader, SK chair arrested in Pasay drug bust


A notorious supplier of illegal drugs and a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) village leader were arrested by anti-narcotics operatives in a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Monday night (June 7).

Police identified the suspects as Eleonor Odtuhan, 35; and Archie Gabriel; 23. Odtuhan is said to be the leader of the Odtuhan drug group while Gabriel is the SK Chairman of Barangay 189.

According to Pasay City Police Chief Col. Cesar Paday-os, Odtuhan, also known as "Madam," is considered the leader of drug pushers in the city as well as the main supplier of illegal drugs.

Paday-os said that during the operation, a brief chase ensued and Odtuhan ended up hiding inside the house of Gabriel. When the SK chairman was asked about the whereabouts of the suspect, he did not say that Odtuhan was inside his house.

According to the report provided by Paday-os, the operation was launched at 9 p.m. inside the Pasay City Public Cemetery at No. 400 Sarhento Mariano St., Brgy. 189 by the Pasay City Joint anti-drug operatives led by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and PSMS Jonathan Bayot together with the elements of Station Intelligence Unit led by Maj. Jerry Sunga.

Police said that a poseur buyer was able to purchase P500 worth of shabu from Odtuhan which led to her arrest. They recovered more than 7 grams of shabu from the suspect with an estimated value of more than P53,000.

The seized items were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Crime Laboratory for analysis.

Odtuhan will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, while Gabriel will be charged with obstruction of Justice.
