Taguig starts vaccination registration for A4 priority group

The Taguig City Vaccination Task Force has opened the registration for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination for the A4 priority group, or essential workers.

It said it has received the guidelines for the vaccination of the A4 category, “defined as all individuals who are required to go out of their residence, in relation to their work or profession. They are considered as essential workers.”

Vaccination in Taguig (Taguig City government)

The city government will continue to prioritize the vaccination of people under A1 (health workers), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (persons with comorbidities) but it is ready to vaccinate the A4 group.

For Taguig residents who work outside the city, they may register through the Taguig TRACE website at trace.taguig.gov.ph or barangay to get their vaccination schedule.

Taguig residents who work in the city can also register via the TRACE website or barangay, or register for group scheduling also through the app or by coordinating with their Taguig-based company, which will schedule the inoculation.

For non-Taguig residents who work in the city, they can register with TRACE for group schedule. If they are informal sector workers, they can coordinate with the Barangay Affairs Office or barangay hall near their place of work. For private sector workers, they can coordinate with their Taguig-based company, which will schedule the vaccination.

For group scheduling, the company needs to prepare a master list of employees, indicate the total number of A4 workers, and indicate the name, designation, and contact details of the focal person. An attestation clause is also needed to be signed by a corporate officer, business proprietor, or human resource manager stating the truthfulness and veracity of the list.

According to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), those eligible for vaccination under A4 are: “Private sector workers required to be physically present at their designated workplace outside of their residences; employees in government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned and controlled corporations and local government units; and informal sector workers and self-employed who may be required to work outside their residences, and those working in private households.”

The vaccination of A4 priority group will initially be focused on the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao, and workers from all other areas.

Local government units are advised to prioritize the A1, A2, and A3 groups by “groups by establishing special lanes and/or vaccination centers for them to ensure that health frontliners, senior citizens and other vulnerable sectors of the population continue to be prioritized in the vaccination program.”

“Among the Priority Group A4, LGUs may give preference for persons aged forty to fifty-nine (40-59) over persons aged eighteen to thirty-nine (18 to 39) years old,” the IATF resolution read.
