The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the habagat will be affecting Luzon and Western Visayas Visayas while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will prevail over Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the habagat may affect Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Zambales, Bataan, Palawan, Mindoro Provinces, and Western Visayas.

PAGASA said the ITCZ may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao.

The agency warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the combined effects of habagat and the ITCZ.

Senior weather specialist Cris Perez said temperatures in Metro Manila may range between 31 to 32 degrees Celsius in the next two to three days.

Citing the three-day weather outlook, Perez said that weather conditions in the metropolis would gradually improve by Tuesday, June 8.

But he noted that cloudy skies with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms may occur in the region in the following days.
