South National (NCR) Assistant Revenue Regional Director Saripuden Bantog identified the establishment as New Age Mart located inside a shopping center in the Manila Bay area.

The revenue official who supervised the closure said the unregistered store will not be allowed to resume operations until the tax debts are settled.

The deficiency taxes incurred by the store are likely to increase substantially when audit of income and other taxes are completed.

Parañaque Revenue Officer Caroline Pakata said the store was allegedly found under-declaring its sales of grocery items and other goods during a surveillance.
