The bishop said the faithful stand to gain countless blessings when they visit the jubilee churches including a plenary indulgence. They may also pray for an end to the pandemic when they visit the churches, he added.

“I am encouraging everyone to take the opportunity to visit the jubilee churches to gain a plenary indulgence and to pray for an end to the COVID-18 pandemic,” Florencio said over Radio Veritas.

The Military Ordinariate has three designated pilgrim churches: The Saint Ignatius Cathedral in Camp Aguinaldo, the St. Joseph Chapel in Camp Crame, and the Shrine of St. Therese in Pasay City.

There are more than 500 designated pilgrim churches around the country where pilgrims may gain a plenary indulgence.
