With the addition of more than 6,000 new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 1,230,301. The total number of recoveries and deaths also increased to 1,155,045 and 20,966, respectively.

The DOH said 10 duplicates were removed from the total case count, saying six of these were recoveries and one is a death.

"Moreover, 57 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation," it said.

The Health department said all labs were operational on May 29 while three labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).

"Based on data in the last 14 days, the three non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 0.4 percent of samples tested and 1.0 percent of positive individuals," DOH said.
