CBCP News said the event which was earlier set on May 28 has been moved next month due to the availability of Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Charles Brown.

The nuncio just arrived back in Manila last week after a visit to his homeland in New York and is currently undergoing the mandatory government-mandated 14-day quarantine.

During the ceremony, Brown will bestow the red hat and ring to Advincula which are the symbols of his membership in the College of Cardinals.

The ceremony will take place at the Immaculate Conception Metropolitan Cathedral in Roxas City.

Also postponed is the canonical coronation of the image of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores de Capas in the Diocese of Tarlac, which will be led by the nuncio.

Originally set on May 31, the coronation and his pastoral visit to the diocese will now be held on June 5.

Advincula will be officially installed as the 33rd archbishop of Manila on June 24.

The 69-year-old will formally assume the post during a Mass at the Manila Cathedral.
