No walk-ins allowed in Angono, Rizal vaccination site

ANGONO, Rizal -- As the vaccination of senior citizens and adults with comorbidities continues at SM Center here, the local government warned residents that no walk-ins and "palakasan" (strong connection) will be allowed in the town’s sole vaccination site.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon said residents, aged 19 and above, who would like to get vaccinated should first register either at their respective barangay office, the lobby of the municipal hall, or online.

Calderon issued the appeal as "RESBAKUNA Kasangga Ang Bida," the vaccination program of the local government, continues on Monday, May 24, at the SM Center Angono.

The vaccination site was moved to SM Center Angono from the Angono gymnasium over the weekend.

As of May 22, a total of 3,166 doses have been used to inoculate 2,385 residents who received their first dose while 781 others have completed their two doses.

There are 8,063 residents who are in the waiting list according to the municipal government.

The local government targets to inoculate 400 residents per day.
