What's Fil-Am Tiktok star Bella Poarch's makeup inspiration?

She gets featured in Vogue Beauty!

Aside from all the mesmerizing lip-syncing TikTok videos that we enjoy watching, Filipino-American Bella Poarch's beauty look is a refreshing sight to see. We're loving her natural glowing look and she got to share her skincare and makeup routine with Vogue Beauty.

She talked about how it was like growing up, "I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup in school, so all my friends would have like lipstick and eyeliner on, and I wasn’t allowed to. So I was always jealous." Bella started off with lots of hydration, including Vitamin C serum, facial mist, and skin cream. Then, she proceeds to sunscreen—a habit that has always been very important for Asians—which she learned from her titas.

After prepping, she moved on to applying foundation, explaining how Filipinos aren't fond of applying too much makeup because of the high humidity rate here. "The difference between Philippine makeup and U.S. makeup is that Filipinos don’t really like foundation or really thick makeup,” she adds as she applied a few swipes of concealer and liquid foundation using her fingers and a beauty blender. She sculpted her cheeks with bronzer and moved on applying a lip liner and lipstick in nude shade onto her lips.

But wait, what about some blush? This is when she went back to her cheeks, "I grew up watching animé, and the girls in animé have really rosy cheeks. That’s how I got inspired to do my rosy pink cheeks on TikTok. I think it’s really cute.” She also swiped some blush across her nose for that Japanese animé touch. She also used highlighter on her nose, cheek bones, and inner eye corner with her finger tips. She sealed the look with a few brushes through her lash extensions.

Being part of the navy, she revealed that she can put her hair in a bun in two minutes tops. "The military also taught me how to be a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect.” She combs through her hair in sections, and then got one strand from each side of her hair, twisted it, and released it for some delicate face-framing strands. “This is the final look, so now you know my secrets to my classic ‘M to the B’ Bella Poarch look!"
