CEBU CITY – A 22-year-old man was arrested while packs of suspected shabu valued at P13.8 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City Friday.
Police identified the suspect as Mark Gil James Dangarang.
Dangarang is a native of Candaba, Pampanga but has been living in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City.
Police said the man was driving an e-bike when he arrived in Sitio Saac II, Barangay Mactan to meet the poseur-buyer at 9:45 a.m.
Dangarang was arrested and police recovered a backpack from him which was later found to contain eight packs of suspected shabu weighing 2,033 grams with an estimated value of P13.8 million.
Police said the suspect was one of the high-value individuals in Duljo-Fatima who are being monitored for their illegal drug activities.
