Nebrija sounds off on defiant 'kamote' motorists

What's worse than a "kamote" rider? A defiant kamote rider who runs away from enforcers, that's what.

"It’s becoming very frequent that we are experiencing violators running away from enforcers," Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic czar Edison "Bong" Nebrija wrote in a Facebook post Wednesday, May 19.

"There was even one that we needed to chase from Monte De Piedad up to Balete Drive on Aurora Blvd.," he noted.

To go with his post, Nebrija shared a video of an erring motorcycle rider who seemingly tried to pull a fast one on MMDA enforcers, although not as egregiously as the Monte De Piedad motorist.

"Kamotes are getting bolder and they are not only blatantly violating traffic laws they are also emboldened to disrespect and run away from enforcers," Nebrija said.

Most of the time, its the ones who hightail from enforcers that have more to hide. Isn't that right, Col. Nebrija?
