Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo looks breath-taking in a dress by Furne One at the 69th Miss Universe pageant’s coronation night.

In an Instagram post, the Dubai-based fashion designer shared his inspiration for Rabiya’s evening gown, which is the Mindanaoan mythical bird, the sarimanok.

According to the designer, the halter dress mirrors Iloilo City’s festivals. The color orange represents joy, freedom, and creativity. Its embellishments stand for the heartbeat of the people of Iloilo. While its form is a representation of feminism.

As the designer promised, the fiery orange evening gown is “vibrant, energetic, and eclectic.”

The beauty queen from Iloilo made it to the competition’s Top 21. While Andrea Meza of Mexico is the winner of the 69th Miss Universe pageant.
