Here's how to get Cho Hye-Joo’s glowing, luminous skin

Goodbye, 10 steps... hello, skip-care!

SKIP-CARE Cho Hye-Joo keeps her skincare routine simply by having a healthy lifestyle

The South Korean culture is continuously taking the world by storm—from music, tv shows, movies to skincare and beauty trend aspect. And for this year 2021, it seems like that it’s about time for us to say goodbye to the era of 10-step skincare routine and say hello to simple, one step skin regimen.

Turn up your glow
During the recently held AHC’s Luminous Glow Eye Cream For Face launched last Monday, May 17, 2021, together with the Korean aesthetic clinic’s newest global ambassador, South Korean actress and model Cho Hye-Joo, she reveals that instead of following 10-step skincare routine, she has a very simple glow-up routine.

“Part of my glow-up formula is self-love, which is about taking care of myself. My routine is very, very simple. I just make sure that I get a lot of sleep, drink plenty of water, make sure you really hydrate yourself,” the 26-year-old actress says. “And I really love this product that AHC launched. I use it a lot especially in the morning. I recommended it to my friends and family. And they can really see the glow in my face, and I’m really proud of that.”

Aside from this, the “Search:WWW” star says that when the pandemic happened in 2020, she started taking good care of herself and her skin by keeping herself busy, working out, and keeping a constant communication with her loved ones.

“Glow up is a holistic transformation. It’s about physical, mental, and emotional transformation for the better,” she says. “Skincare for me should always be easy and very simple yet multifunctional. I enjoy taking care of my skin even after long day of work. I just use a cleanser and the AHC Luminous Glow that keeps my skin hydrated and glowing wherever I go. For instant relaxation, sometimes I used a mask, it really suits my skin.”

Yes to easy skincare routine
This simple skincare routine is something Jay Kim, AHC’s master aesthetician agrees with. She also revealed the newest beauty trend in South Korean that everyone should watch out for. “The trend in Korea now is the skip-care which means you will just use one product that gives multiple benefits and is better than having a complicated, multi-step routine,” she says. “We also started to use traditional Korean ingredients like ginseng and peony white with our products since these are good for the skin.”

SELF LOVE IS THE KEY For the Korean actress, the formula for achieving a healthy skin is self-care and self-love.

When asked if she worries about aging, the “A Love So Beautiful” actress says that she already accepts that aging if part of life. “Aging is something we cannot just avoid even if we live a healthy lifestyle,” Cho Hye-Joo says. “For me, I just make sure that I take care of my skin by using simple products that help address any premature signs of aging. I make sure to commit with my skincare routine, so it ages gracefully in the future.”

She then reminds everyone that they shouldn’t follow anyone’s skincare routine. Instead, based it on what they actually need. “Skincare is something that comes from deep within and depends from individual’s lifestyle in general,” she says. “For me, I just do thing simple, by eating healthy, getting proper rest, hydrating yourself, and exercising regularly and this really helps to have glowing skin. I also make sure to keep my routine simple and commit to it so I can maximize its benefits.”
