The Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) announced the cancellation of all of its flights to and from Dubai starting May 15 to May 31 in wake of the travel ban imposed by the government to United Arab Emirates (UAE) to manage the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
In an advisory, the Cebu Pacific Air said affected passengers were already being informed about their options through the contact details provided in their booking.
Affected passengers are given three options by the airlines: Rebook, Travel Fund, and Refund.
Cebu Pacific Air said affected passengers can avail of unlimited rebooking with no change fee.
"CEB permanently removed change fees. A minimal fare difference may apply," it said.
Meanwhile, they can also store the amount in a virtual wallet valid for two years and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons such as baggage allowance and seat selection among others.
If the passenger chooses to refund, Cebu Pacific Air said the process may take up to seven months from date of request "due to the high volume of requests."
"CEB will continue to operate its other domestic and international flights as scheduled. Before going to the airport, passengers are advised to check the real-time status of flights on our website: bit.ly/CEBFlightStatusCheck, along with travel requirements, safety protocols, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) via bit.ly/CEBFlightReminders," the airlines said.
