President Duterte has placed the National Capital Region (NCR)-Plus under general community quarantine (GCQ) from May 15 to May 30, 2021, and every one has their fingers crossed that this easing of restrictions won’t unleash another surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections.

But it also comes as good news that the vaccines have started to arrive in the country, in what vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said were in huge volumes, with the process of inoculating Filipinos being more of a problem now rather than the supply of the vaccines.
