Las Pinas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar thanked Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go for helping 50 families who were rendered homeless by a recent fire with his donation of food packs with vitamins, face masks, and face shields.

Aguilar said Go helped lighten the mood of the fire victims now staying at the covered court of Golden Acres Talon Singko by holding a raffle. He gave away one mountain bike, one cherry mobile tablet, and one World Balance rubber shoes.

She said that aside from Go’s donations, the 50 families were also given P5,000 each by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

A fire broke out on May 11 at a residential area on Lakatan St., Golden Acres Subdivision, Talon Singko, Las Pinas City. Some 20 houses were gutted by the fire.
