About 193,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines arrived on Monday night, May 10 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via a DHL Cargo flight (LD 457) operated by Air Hong Kong.
Touchdown was around 9 p.m. at NAIA Terminal 2.
Among the government officials present during the arrival of the United States-manufactured jabs were testing czar Vince Dizon, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, and officials of theWorld Health Organization (WHO).
Pfizer vaccines need to be stored at negative 70 to negative 80 degrees Celsius, or else they would go to waste. From the airport, the newly-arrived doses will be brought directly to the cold storage facility of PharmaServ in San Roque, Marikina City.
