QC residents can claim financial aid until May 12

The Quezon City government announced on Saturday that qualified residents who are initially on the list of the financial aid from the national government may claim their cash until May 12.

Around 100 million from the budget allocated to the city are still for disbursement to qualified residents, according to the report of the City Treasurer's Office (CTO).

"From today until Wednesday next week, that becomes the final window where qualified QCitizens can claim. We made this call so we could also attend to other deserving citizens who appealed or filed disputes to our grievances committee," Mayor Joy Belmonte said.

According to City Administrator Mike Alimurung, the next priority will be the residents who are eligible but were not recorded in the initial list.

Residents who want to check if they are included in the list of beneficiaries may access the list posted in their respective barangays or via the official website of the QC government (www.quezoncity.gov.ph).

The city has already distributed P2.38 billion or 96% of the financial aid allocated for QC residents.

"We are happy that despite the size and scope of our city, we managed to disburse almost all of the allocated financial aid for our residents with speed and ease," Mayor Belmonte said.
