"As of May 5, 2021, a total of 58,946 San Juaneños have registered with our San Juan vaccination program. That is 69.23 percent of the target population of 85,400 to achieve herd immunity," Zamora said in his Facebook post.

"We have vaccinated 12,108 San Juaneños already as of May 5 at a rate of 600-800 a day because of the current limited supply of vaccines," he added.

The mayor said that once the city's supply of vaccines from the national government increases, combined with the city-procured 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines, it will be able to increase the number vaccinees to around 3,000 a day in multiple vaccination centers.
